Street trading

While strolling through the streets of Brussels, you can enjoy many diverse and varied types of retailers: chip shops, ice cream and waffle trucks, food trucks, snack stands and fruit and vegetable stalls. Moreover, catering kiosks are located in several areas of the city. Street trading also includes newspaper stands, flower stalls and the cartoonists of the Grand Place!

In a country where a cone of chips is the king and mayonnaise is the queen, changing the traditional Belgian chip shop may seems like a risky endeavour.
It’s impossible to walk through the City of Brussels without stumbling upon waffle and ice cream vans.
The food truck trail allows approximately twenty food trucks take it in turn to showcase their specialities at several fixed locations in the city centre.
The City of Brussels has several fixed outdoor locations where you can savour snacks, food on-the-go and drinks.
Several kiosks are located in the parks of Brussels and regularly serve passers-by - weather permitting! You can sample snacks, picnic baskets as well as an eco-friendly kiosk offering seasonal menus.
To round off the culinary delights on offer, the City of Brussels has several fixed locations where you can discover stalls selling seasonal fruits and vegetables (strawberries, raspberries, asparagus and much more).
These stands are intended for the sale of newspapers, books and postcards. They also sell monthly magazines, daily newspapers and small snacks. Several calls for tenders for newspaper stands are currently available.
Having flowers and plants in your home offers many more benefits than you could imagine! A green environment produces numerous health benefits for the body and mind. In addition to improving air quality, they bring in light and have a positive impact on your mood. Discover our flower stalls in the region of the City of Brussels.
Would you like a cartoonist to draw an image of you on the most beautiful and famous square in Brussels? It's possible! Discover the cartoonists on the Grand Place in Brussels.
